A typewriter was successfully introduced by Christopher Latham Sholes in 1878. It's purpose is to print characters on a piece of  blank sheet paper by pushing onto the individual keys. ( shown on the left) Typewriters was known to make writing convenient for all individuals before the big change in 1964.

The pros about using a typewriter only makes you become a better writer if you ask me. You don't have to wait for the outcome because you can see it all once while it's being typed. The cons about using a typewriter is once again having to re-type the whole page since you cannot press the back space button. (Levis 2017)
Typewriters have died out when desktop computers were introduced in 1964.
